On the zz4 are you guys using them and what type, umhw, al or steel(ss)

The stock ZZ pan has a good "street" use windage tray. But for hard cornering such as we see on the Wct. circuits, I would recomend something with more capacity.

Dan Olson builds a pan specifically for the ZZ4. 10qt. and works good. Aslo has doors in it which the stock pan doesnt.

Holy shit two years later.
I actually asked this because a buddy has his shatter into pieces somehow and destroyed his motor..it was steel.

Also steel oil pans dont shatter into pieces by themselves, they have to have help from stuff hitting them from inside. Same goes for aluminum, trust me on this one, ive blown a lot of rods through pans.
