Went to Talor poker run this week end was a blast other than I had some problems. Overheated my 6.0L Hoping no damage.

The hose from the back of the bowl to hull (Raw water cooling hose) Blow off. I installed it and then it blow off again. Installed it again then the other end blow off. So I shut it down and got pulled back to boat launch.

Why??

I blow though it does not seem to be any restichtion.
What pressure should I have on this hose?
If the wear ring and insulator were to fail would this cause a increase on raw water cooling pressure?

Even if I had the Valve closed to the raw water cooling pressure it should not blow the hose off Is that correct?

It is an Americain Turbine Pump.

Hoping never did any damage to engine.

¿Do you have any pressure regulation valves on the cooling system? If you use the wrong type, it will close not allowing any water into the engine and pressure will buid up.

Another possibility is that the cooling system is clogged with sand you might have picked up running in shallow water.

What about simply a faulty hose or connection? With time, conexions rust and break down. I use crimped conexions in the water system.

It might be a good idea to inspect all the hoses (and oil cooler, if any) in the system. Blowing on the hose (that doesnt sound quite right) Razz might be deceptive, as the jet drive can pump much more water than the air you can blow
