Peter is replacing his Nahanni with a Clearwater this coming year, loaded with options, this boat will have the LSA and 212 Hammy.

That will be for the Winch Fairlead to mount, a 4000 lb Warn winch will be rigged into the bow.

How come everyone runs a long shaft kicker. I run a short shaft merc on back of swim platform which rides above bottom of boat and never worry about kicker hitting bottom. It's far enough back from hull to steer just fine. I don't even lift it to fly around. It's above bottom so it stays in same position all the time. Just start it and steer it and that's it.

If you want your kicker to function properly the cavitation plate on the kicker motor needs to be at or slightly below the hull of the boat otherwise the kicker will cavitate horribly when you give it full throttle. Under 1/4 to 1/2 throttle it will be fine but you will really notice cavitation beyond that.
