Accomplished over the Kilo course at the APBA Speed Trials at Devil's Lake in Lincoln City, Oregon October 4, 2014. Ross Schlotthauer driving with Chad Yackel navigating in the "Bat Outa Hell" USA-1 turbine.

That translates to about 203+ feet or 62+ meters per SECOND. It took a little over 16 seconds to cover the measured kilo.

This event takes place every year on the first weekend in October. Lots of fun and LOTS of different kinds of boats to see and watch. This is a verified course with all the necessary officials and timing equipment to try and set records or just to see what you really have going. This event is sanctioned by APBA. Regional, national and UIM World records are "available".

Devil's Lake is a fresh water lake basically at sea level, connected to the Pacific by the 120 foot /37 meter long D River, considered one of, if not the, shortest river in the world
