Have a KEM 6.0L that goes into Limp mode. Sometimes it will run fine for 1-2 hrs then feel it surge sometimes just before it happens and other times just lose power and into limp mode. Oil light and buzzer on as well. took it to Boat service shop installed a new oil sending unit and relocated it to remote oil filter housing and checked for codes at the time ,no codes displayed the last time it happened . Also running a mech guage as well as electronic , oil press at 3600 reads 60 psi. Ran it yesterday for an hr ,no problem, was stopped for couple hrs, fired it up and never got on step ,went into limp, turned off key and reset, got up on step and ran at 3700 for a bit, when I tried slowing down to 3400 rpm into limp mode again, this happened 5 -6 times before getting back to launch. Cant trust it to go any distance. It fires up great and idles great, just changed fuel filter and fresh oil, 210 hrs on engine. Will take it back to service shop again and see if it fired any codes. On Holidays and want to go boating , Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Wonder if anyone in GP has a diacom code reader.

Thanks,

I had problem with mine when new it was the wire connecting to censor. Have also seen the censor hooked to the rail under the heat exchanger wire connection give trouble.
