Two days of boating on the wapiti in 35 deg weather, with a swimming hole to keep everybody cool, it was awesome. Even spotted a Native North American Wapiti Allblowdup Sasquatch, very hard to find this time of the year Laughing

Looks like the perfect hot weather activity.
I was up on the Wapiti for the first time on the 11th and had a great run with lots of water......hoping for less Mr. Green
We looked intently at doing the Redwillow but............

it's kind of slim Twisted Evil

Keep coming back as it gets later in the Summer. The farther you go up the more interesting it gets.

Yup in the right conditions you can even go up Nose creek but you really gotta watch because it can be unrunable in a couple of hours!

We went up the Wapiti to the Belcourt Creek yesterday and had an awsome time. The water level was just right, challenging but not overly dangerous. However, we did find what was left of a sunken boat of one of our fellow Rats that went up a month or so ago when the river was much higher and dangerous. I'll try and get some pics.

P.S. Everyone on the sunken boat is ok. Very Happy
BUT, they did scare the crap out of themselves and they said that they may not have made it if they hadn't of had their life jackets on.

I've been up Nose creek a ways, but wasn't my boat and it was in May. It is pretty tight running even in flood conditions. Lots of fun running upstream of Wapiti Gardens. Might have to head out that way for the Long weekend.
