I have been doing a lot of reading around here and I finally learned how to post. I really love all of the info here. I have a 1996 Sprint Sport boat, I am wondering if it was made by Eagle because it looks identicle to some of the Outlaw boats. I'm in the process of building a 454 for it, but right now I believe it has a ZZ3 in it. Here is a picture of it on the water at the Sacramento river

I think Rapid Transit answered your question . lots of Outlaw , Outlaw- Eagle boats have gone to the States , my guess is that it was imported and rebranded .

Delta pad V-bottom? I think Outlaw Marine as well as Eagle power boats sold kits to a builder in the states and as such were branded a sprint hulls.

just wonder if it is as durable as the outlaw eagle boats I see on here
bottom thickness?
weight?

SPRINT seems to be out of business
anyone know about them
the whole boat is powder coated
is this normal on outlaws

Funny you should ask!

My buddy has a 93 Sprint Sport boat, the cowl on his is straight lines with a crease in the middle . I had a 95 Jetcraft sprint boat. Mine was rigged from a bare Eagle hull by Jetcraft, a company in Medford Oregon, my buddies Sprint was built by Sprint Sport Boats in Idaho. The hulls had subtle differences underneath, his had a thicker bottom, the delta pad was wider at the rear. The bow was sharper and extended further underneath. Looking at the picture, line wise, yours looks like a twin to my Jetcraft/Eagle. Neil Mallam told us once that he had built my friends boat. Both boats came with L-98 head two bolt main engines, the same intakes as a ZZ4 and something less than a ZZ4 cam. Mine had TBI, my buddies Sprint had a Holley 3010 carb. The Sprint came with a Berk mine came with a Legend. They were 15 and a half feet long.

It ought to be as durable if not more so than the race hulls you see here. Of course, that is all a matter of how much stuff you hit. Other than damage from rock strikes, etc. mine never even acted like it wanted to come apart. Weight I would guess at somewhere around 700 pounds bare, about 1200 -1400 pounds rigged.

I know the above doesn't answer your question directly, but maybe it helps. I will say that even after all these years of racing, that sprint boat was the all around most predictable and fun to drive boat I have ever had. Best top end I ever got out of it was with ZZ4 cam and a 4779c carb and a Place Diverter, 73 mph. Never tried a race nozzle on it, likely would have gone a another couple of miles an hour faster. Great boats!

Big Squirt, I have an identical hull to Cavefish, he's actually the person most responsible for getting me racing. Actually I haven't done much for a couple of years, ever since I blew up my motor at the 2005 Worlds, but I refuse to get rid of the hull and one day we will ride again. It's in race trim with a race nozzle, roll cage, enlarged gas tank, etc etc. Here's the cool part, I'm here in Sacramento if you want to take a look at it some time and tell some lies. My shop should be done in September and then it will finally come home from a friends house and hopefully I can start working on it again. Basically I just need to get a ZZ4, and some other miscellaneous stuff and I would be off and running. I'm not too motivated to race right now as the Marysville race keeps getting canceled, but hopefully some racing comes back to the Sacramento area one day. I'd like to get it up and running in race trim and just use it as a play boat. Handles great, 70+ MPH, turns on a dime and looks different than anything else in these parts. Nice when the crowds come out too, just head up the Sac, make a right on the Feather and welcome to where nobody boats. Endless miles of 3" deep water, a few small rifles, and the only thing you have to dodge is fisherman. Its a great hull. Mine was also tittled as a Jetcraft but, at least from the research I've done, actually made by Eagle-Aluminum Squirt
