Man, I wish I had the time ! I'm about 6hrs west of Chicago.

Was out yesterday, somehow I can always get wet when the water is ice cold ! Didn't get stuck, just alittle wet.

Midwest, when you put something together around your area, I'll be in.

Think I've located a "victim" but its more for the drive than the boating that I was worried about, 6hrs by yourself towing kinda sucks.
Im hoping to get my new wires and plugs in tonight and be ready to leave the Toronto area around noon Sat which brings me into Lead's area around 6 pm I guess. May leave a little earlier and see a buddy in Sarnia.
Grabbed some hip waders last nite for adventures up here will the water be cold enough to need them? I'm guessing so!
I'll have 2 camera's to bring and lots of tapes. lets make sure we show that there jetboat life east of Alberta haha
It will be an interesting mix, 21 tunnel, 16 sport and a sprint thats 14' (I think??)
Cheers

shoot, never thought of using waders, I've been getting in that cold water why?

It's cold, but not really that bad to be honest. Leadville invented a an intake rake so he doesn't even have to get out of the boat...what a girly man!

My victim has a conflict so I will keep looking but I may have room for a "navigator" I have to blame someone right!? Razz

I do have 4 seats but I prefer to run tech stuff with 2 and video gear takes up one seat anyway(inverter etc)

I will call Lead later and keep checking this thread. I could come alone but thats a long drive.

Cheers

Inverter??? you're way to hi-tech brother. I press record and hold the thing over my head until my arm gets tired. Smile

If you do end up coming, do you mind picking me up 6 pack of or so of Coffee Crisp (candybar), you can't get that here... oh and the canadien beer isn't as good either, but we'll have to suffer.

Kind of surprising (or not) it isn't as easy to find people to go jetboating as one would think, i may be able to recruit a soul or two, but agreed no more than two per boat and only if we need it.

Yea I am victimless at this point as well, Damn I know way too many married people with kids haha
The last minute thing is the issue I suppose.
I can bring down a case of beer with me to solve the beer issue. Coffee crisp , dang I will try to remember that one but I have a zillion things to do since my wires didn't come in so I had to drive all over to find a set.
Im off to the shop to get the beast all ready....
Still planning on leaving around noon to get in town 6-7 ish, where the heck should I hang out till this Fball game is over??? Any cool spots to have a few beers and be made fun of by the "locals"
Razz
Oh and I will settle for any navigator as long as she is blonde, not too heavy(but can push like a guy) and has good navigational skills, oh yea and can hold a video camera, haha I don't ask for much! If she has a cute MI accent so be it
Two to a boat is good, tunnel doesn't like getting on plane that easy with more and if its not that shallow I'd assume run with full up trim, especially with camera's around

Im bringing 2 camera's and have about 8 tapes. The inverter is for when the battery dies. It hasn't worked once yet but I think I have the bugs worked out. If ya ever try it, inverters shut down when the starter kicks in, we lost a whole upstream run learning that lesson Sad

Real excited to be running with other jetboat freaks, and alloy boats to boot!
Gotta get that 16 Sport up here and run the Saugeen with me sometime, that is if ya don't mind hitting bottom here and there(and there and here lol)
Im going to call Lead now to sort out details...

Cheers

weather is great at the moment, nice fall day
weather.com shows t-storm over night and 30 to 50% chance of showers at some point sunday. I am going regardless of the weather.

Midwest, if you are planning to drive up in the morning we will put in at Fishermans Landing on the south side of Muskegon Lake around 9am. This is in Muskegon, MI just east off of 31.

otherwise meet at my place tonight
