Do I look fat in those waders? Laughing

I am sooo glad I decided to put those on at the begining of the day and that I had hip waders and not just the thigh ones.

Next time I'm bringing the wetsuit.

Yes I believe the key here would totally have been a covered engine. The rear end just can't take on any signifigant amount of water when the bow is held up high before the weight of the water(and engine and alot of gas) pushes the ass end under. Im certain a 24"-32" rear cover would have saved us for sure and I will make one of those for running rivers like this. This isn';t the first time this has happened to me , just all the other times we were lucky I guess not to hit shore "just wrong".
Oh well thats 'racing', I guess this is how you learn!
You guys are going to love the footage we got, I'm very impressed with how good that footage is from a handheld from a moving boat. My rollbar cam was/is as smooth as can be.
Cheers

I don't have any pics of the gravel truck unfortunatly but enough people took em I will see if I can locate some. I didn't even get my driveway redone out of it! grrrrrrrrrr

Now that everyone has had a little entertainment(at my expense) can we at least see some of the "good" footage we got of Xero????
Im anxious as Ive never seen my boat moving on video with the new motor anyway. I have some sweet footage of the SJ in front of us but no way to put it on the PC. Hopefully Mark can email some to me or Vern and someone can host it.
Cheers

(motor looks like it will be fine once flushed out, its very gritty so Im glad i chose to teardown)

Cheers

(I really wanna go back down to MI bad, great guys and a great river, I was driving like crap that day, get more annoyed the more I watch the footage, I have driven the tunnel far better. Oh well everyone will see on Vince's DVD, I've had far better days in the tunnel.....)
