Interesting topic on the outdoorsmenforum.ca forum. Fisherman vs Red Deer jetboaters

Not many people are sharing his feelings on that topic though. He's the same dick pump that has been sniveling for years I bet. He wants the whole river for his little fishing gig he's got going.

OEM tried to organise a CARBA meeting .......6 people showed up........
yes I was busy too, but I got there, my point is I think it wise to have an organized voice out there , just in case the need arises. who knows what it could be, but it could be for your benefit . It will show that we are firing on all cylinders and may even garner some respect in the right places when necessary. If nothing else it will bring the boating world somewhat closer together to be able to organize functions, ralleys , races, etc. every one appeared to have a good time at the brazeau again ! I don't think that it matters what color, kind, make, model, or manufacturer you have, we all enjoy it or we wouldn't do it, we do like to boat, and I would like to keep boating and not be hamstrung by some well intended do gooder. so when the next meeting is called ,try to attend. maybe you would like your grand kids to take you for a ride someday. pick a neutral place to have a meeting if that is what it takes, but invest some time if you like to boat, and show your face. Thanks OEM for your effort. how about it any of the rest of the manufacturers interested?

We will be there and are educating our customers on the CARBA group, I agree totally and think that strength is in the numbers with this one.

I just had a beer with a friend who is an avid fisherman who happend to be at a local Central Alberta SRD meeting recently and he said there were many groups there consiting of fisherman and community associations who are really pushing to ban boating on portions of the Lower Red Deer during spawning seasons. They are not talking small areas either such as from the damn to the mouth of the Medicine. We really need be represented at these meetings and our voices heard to express our side of the story before it is too late. Lets get this Central Alberta River Boat Association happening!
