I need a boat trailer ASAP!!!to put a 16ft jetcraft eagle with a 383 on.
1(780)617-4521 or 1(867)874-2590 rutsy33@yahoo.com Ask for Willy! Damn boats stuck at the us/can border it's allowed in but the damn trailer isn't!make sure when you buy something out of the states that you cover all your basis!trailers out of the states need a 17 digit VIN to get into Canada but in the states they only need a 12 digit VIN I learned the hard way this weekend!!!

Yup, that's the one. What's the plan to get the boat on another trailer? Serious lack of water in that neck of the woods.

I mean I don't have an extra trailer, but I could kick my boat off somewhere and get yours into Canada, if that's what you need.

Give me a call at home 403-345-5224, or on my cell at 403-315-9920.
I've got a cousin that works in the long room down there, I'll give her a call and see what she can do for us.

Can't get a new vin assigned? Might cost a bit to get the guy down to do it but it might be something to look into.

Also, if you got turned back at Canada Customs, they've got all the summer staff on now.
Try Registrar of Imported Vehicles 1-888-848-8240 and Transport Canada 1-800-333-0371.
If either of these offices says it's ok to bring it in, get it in writing and go for it.
This info is from a brokerage manager in Coutts. She said that if it's a kit trailer or a home built, it may not meet Transport Canada standards.
Might be worth a try, beats leaving a good trailer in the states.
I'll pm you with more info that you need.
Sheldon.
