Tariffs and CUSMA: Why It Doesn’t Affect Your Boat Purchase

We know buying a boat is a big decision—and naturally, people want to understand how things like tariffs or additional charges might affect the price or process. So let’s clear up a common concern: tariffs do not currently impact your boat purchase from us.

What is CUSMA?

CUSMA (Canada–United States–Mexico Agreement), known as USMCA in the U.S., is a free trade agreement that replaced NAFTA in 2020. It ensures that most goods—including recreational boats—can move across borders between Canada, the U.S., and Mexico without extra tariffs or duties.

What About Tariffs?

Tariffs are taxes placed on imported goods. But thanks to CUSMA, there are no tariffs on boats manufactured in Canada and sold to the U.S. That means if you’re in the U.S. and buying one of our Canadian-made boats, there are no hidden fees or import taxes.

Why It Matters

Whether you’re in Canada or the U.S., our boats are competitively priced and hassle-free to import. We can handle the paperwork, logistics, and compliance—so all you have to worry about is where you’re going boating next.

Final Word

No tariffs on our boats.

Smooth cross-border buying.

CUSMA means your boat purchase is protected from tariffs. So you can shop with confidence knowing you’re getting top-quality craftsmanship without the red tape.

This is ever changing, we will do our best to keep our clients updated.
